Champagne Jacquesson

View Winery Website

Champagne Jacquesson, one of the oldest Champagne houses, dates back to the early 19th century. Under the direction of brothers Laurent and Jean-Hervé Chiquet, who took over in the 1980s, Jacquesson has pioneered a terroir-driven philosophy. The house shifted from the traditional non-vintage blend to producing annually changing, single-vintage-based cuvées and terroir-specific bottlings. With vineyards in Avize, Aÿ, Dizy, and Hautvillers, Jacquesson is renowned for its low-dosage, Extra-Brut champagnes, often vinified in wood to enhance complexity. The house emphasizes extended aging before release, which has led to reduced production but heightened quality. Each numbered cuvée reflects the depth, aging potential, and unique character for which Jacquesson is celebrated.
