Vinous
The 2014 Extra-Brut Dizy-Terres Rouges Premier Cru is a wild, exotic wine. Long aging on the lees and a bit of time post-disgorgement result in a Champagne that is wonderfully expressive right out of the gate. Rose petal, star anise, dried flowers, mint, iron, spicecake and kirsch are some of the many notes that take shape in this dynamic, complex Pinot. The 2014 opens beautifully with time in
the glass. Finished with no dosage. Disgorged: March 2024

This is a pure pinot noir from a small part of a single vineyard in the village of Dizy, showing lots of framing from beautiful phenolics and wonderfully ripe fruit. Yet, it’s driven and bright and well-integrated. It’s full-bodied and rich, but fresh. This is one to pair with all sorts of food. No dosage. Drink or hold.

Vinous
The 2015 Extra-Brut Dizy-Terres Rouges Premier Cru is bright, airy and nicely lifted. It’s an especially floral, mid-weight expression of Pinot Noir. Crushed flowers, dried herbs, spice, cedar and tobacco give the 2015 a strong aromatic presence. Although a bit light, the 2015 is very nicely delineated and also avoids the assertive vegetal notes that afflict so many wines in this vintage. Bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: March, 2023.

Wine Advocate
This tiny 1.33-hectare plot, entirely planted with Pinot Noir in 1993, is the cradle of the 2015 Extra-Brut Premier Cru Dizy – Terres Rouges. Revealing aromas of spring flowers, herbs, toast, tobacco leaf, red berries and menthol, it’s medium to full-bodied, tense and straight, structured and perfectly balanced, with a long, phenolic and chalky finish. This is an excellent, singular rendition of Pinot Noir, a combination of finesse and power. Disgorged in March 2023 with no dosage.
