Laurent Martray, Cote de Brouilly "Lois"
This Côte de Brouilly is a real favourite, both for its structure and for its velvety and fruity texture. It is a Beaujolais Cru made for aging, in an almost Burgundian style. A cuvée to put in the cellar that is velvety and vibrant, with a deep fruit core, and powdery tannins. This is a beautiful Cru from old vines that deserves to age and to be enjoyed in a few years.
“This wine comes from a vintage also with a low yield of 35 hl/ha, dryness but well controlled by a harvest at the right time, maintaining freshness and good balance. Harvested on porphyry and diorite soil, very complex, this cuvée comes from a vine planted in 1916, on the best hillside of the south-south-east coast, it is a wine that will keep well.”
