Vinous
Impossible to ignore and decidedly savory, the 2018 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico impresses with a smoky blend of peppery spices, wild herbs, seared meats and dried black cherries. This is energetic yet intense, with a silken wave of ripe wild berry fruits and sour orange tones propelled by zesty acidity. The 2018 doesn’t miss a beat, finishing classically dry and gently tannic, with rosy inner florals and a cranberry crunch. Hints of lavender slowly fade. This shows the elegance and pretty nature of the vintage while maintaining perfect balance.

Vibrant nose of raspberries, bay leaves, fresh figs and strawberry ice cream, a telltale profile of solarity and limestone soil. Full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins, zesty acidity, medium fruit concentration and a good, slightly leafy and chocolatey finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

fruits roll across the palate with impressive intensity, while cedar-spice and espresso notes provide depth. Muscular tannins frame this powerhouse perfectly.

Vinous
Dark and earthy up front, the 2019 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Ravazzol mixes notes of tobacco and cedary spice with balsamic-laced cherries and clove. It is soothing and round, with silken waves of ripe red berry fruit elevated by juicy acidity, as a bitter tinge of cocoa settles in under an air of rosy inner florals. The 2019 is exceptionally long and lightly tannic, revealing a strong mineral component offset by a twang of sour citrus. Ravazzol is a tremendously complex and savory Amarone sure to enjoy a very long life.
