Ca'La Bionda, Amarone Classico, "Vigneti di Ravazzol" Riserva DOCG 2013	96 Vinous The 2013 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Ravazzol lifts up with a dusty bouquet that blends steeped plums with minty herbs, chalk dust and a flourish of white pepper. A mélange of vividly ripe wild berry fruits, savory spices and saline minerals, this is energized by a brilliant core of tantalizing acidity. Wickedly fresh, lightly tannic and incredibly long, it leaves a staining of tart raspberry and rosy inner orals to linger. The energy and verve captured within are spellbinding. Wow. Simply, wow. 96 James Suckling Bright ruby garnet in the glass. Very restrained nose without obvious fruity character. Aromas of herbs, bell peppers, red currants and black pepper, with a balsamic nuance. Full-bodied with velvety and vibrant tannins, crisp acidity and a long, cigar leaf aftertaste soaked in fruit.
