Bodegas Elias Mora

View Winery Website

Since 2000, oenologist Victoria Benavides has overseen the winery, which is named after its former owner, Señor Elias Mora. The winery blends tradition with modern innovation, preserving the knowledge of past generations while embracing the advantages of contemporary winemaking technology. Their philosophy centers around a simple yet profound idea: the vineyard is the heart of the winery, and the barrels are the heart of the wine.

In keeping with their respect for the environment, the winery uses only natural materials—oak, cork, and glass—in their winemaking process.

Located between the Duero and Hornija rivers, the vineyards sit on soils of large pebbles over Pliocene limestone, ideal for the Tinta de Toro grape. The region’s extreme continental climate, combined with scarce annual rainfall (400 mm), enhances the quality of these grapes, which have a long history in the area. Every bottle of their 100% Tinta de Toro wine reflects this rich heritage, offering a distinct and rewarding experience.
