Weingut Prinz Salm

View Winery Website

Germany’s oldest family-owned winery, established in 1219, is currently led by Felix Prince zu Salm-Salm, the 32nd generation. A graduate in winemaking from Geisenheim, Felix has managed the winery since 2007, with his wife Victoria joining in 2015 to oversee sales and marketing. Their winemaking philosophy emphasizes faith and nature, focusing on vineyard quality. They ensure well-nourished soils, healthy vines, reduced yields, and high-quality grapes, resulting in wines rich in substance, fruit aromas, and minerals. Specializing in Riesling, which comprises two-thirds of their production, the winery benefits from unique green and red slate soils that enhance the distinctiveness of their wines.
