Weingut Johannishof
Johannes and Sabine Eser have managed the Johannishof winery since 1999, representing the 10th generation. The winery’s Riesling wines benefit from diverse soil conditions, allowing full flavor development. The VDP estate wines introduce the quality hierarchy, with dry VDP “Erste Lage” Rieslings from Johannisberg and Rüdesheim, and semi-dry “feinherb” Rieslings. The top-tier VDP “Großen Gewächse” Rieslings from Rüdesheim Berg Rottland and Johannisberg Hölle are renowned for their distinct character. The vineyards, spanning 20 hectares, are predominantly planted with Riesling. The varied soil structures contribute to the unique flavors, with different regions imparting specific characteristics to the wines.
