A pretty pale peach color. On the nose, expansive aromatics of peach, citrus blossom, crushed rock, and tarragon. The mouth is electric, with flavors of nectarine, watermelon rind, petrichor, and sweet spice. The wine has great tension, walking the line between an opulent nose and a fully dry palate with a vibrant line of acidity keeping your mouth watering through a long finish.

Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Rose, Paso Robles 2023	91 Vinous A pale pink, the 2023 Rosé Patelin de Tablas opens in the glass with a blend of dusty rose and white strawberries complemented by hints of lemon oil. It balances ripe orchard fruits and sweet spice with cool-toned acidity to unfold a juicy and energetic display. The 2023 resolves nicely crunchy and long with a salty edge that keeps the taster looking for more. Beautifully done. ★★★ 1/2 Washington Post A Provence-style rosé from California’s leading Rhone Ranger, this is a blend of grenache, mourvèdre, vermentino and a sploosh of counoise. It pours forth flavors of watermelon, roses and red berries, with a note of citrus on a minerally finish. I say “finish,” but the wine seemingly never does, as the flavors show great persistence. Bravo! ABV: 13 percent. BW: 480 grams (Light). 92 Decanter Taking a page from the Rhône’s use of Rolle the white grape in rosé, Tablas Creek has used it here to perfection, under its other name, Vermentino. Bright candied strawberries, and cut fresh rhubarb are accented by soaring citrus accents. The palate loads up on fresh bright fruits, flavours of blood orange and early-season wild strawberries play alongside crushed slate, ripe raspberry and just a faint whisper of garrigue.
