La Marina, Cotes De Gascogne "Cuvee Oceane" White

La Marina is Domaine de Menard’s top white and is made up of the traditional grapes of the region. It’s a cuvee that you don’t see around very much (60% Colombard, 20% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Gros Manseng) but that clearly works here. A melange of tropical fruit, quince and grapefruit, this little white seems the perfect summer option..

The Domaine de Ménard vineyard is located on an ancient terroir of excellent quality; a well known marine geological site, which explains why fossils are frequently found there. The Colombard, Sauvignon Blanc and Ugni Blanc vines, which are used for the estate’s dry white wines, are planted in shallow stony soil.
