Domaine Rene Bouvier

View Winery Website

The Bouvier estate has been family-run since 1910, currently overseen by Bernard Bouvier since 1992. Spanning 42 acres across six villages, the estate produces Burgundy classics: Pinot Noir for reds and Marsannay Rosé, with Chardonnay and Aligoté for whites. Some vines, particularly in Gevrey-Chambertin, are over 80 years old. Since 2006, modern facilities have been in place to maintain the highest standards in winemaking, respecting both grapes and wine.

The estate emphasizes terroir, producing one wine per plot to reflect each vineyard’s unique character. A balance of purity, minerality, and precision is achieved by harvesting grapes at peak ripeness. Organic certification is underway. Grapes are hand-harvested and meticulously sorted to ensure quality, with vinification using minimal intervention.

Each wine embodies its terroir, offering distinct taste and texture that evolve gracefully with age, reflecting the estate’s commitment to authentic, expressive wines.
