Located in the heart of the “Clos des Monts-Luisants”, the vines are separated from the Clos de la Roche by just one metre! It shares many characteristics with its illustrious neighbour, boasting great aromatic complexity and a structured, well-balanced palate. The finish, with its slightly firmer tannins and refreshing acidity, is the main difference to the Grand Cru.

Domaine Ponsot, Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru, "Cuvée Des Alouettes" 2021	91-93 Wine Advocate Cropped at a derisory 8.5 hectoliters per hectare, the 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Cuvée des Alouettes exhibits notes of dark berries, plums, baking chocolate, spices and orange zest. Domaine Ponsot, Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru, "Cuvée Des Alouettes" 2022	94 Decanter This lovely wine boasts an impressive combination of fresh blueberry and blackberry fruit aromas with a floral, peppery edge that is what the French would call ‘croquant’ (‘crunchy’). There is noticeably more tannic grip than in the village-level version, but also more sweetness to the fruit on the palate. The grapes are from 20-year-old vines planted north-south at the base of the Monts Luisants slope. This wine should begin to open three years after release and should drink well for 20 years at least. 92-94 Vinous The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Cuvée Allouettes 1er Cru has quite a tertiary bouquet, touches of peppermint infusing the black fruit, a bit of blue fruit emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine structure and quite sapid. It tightens a little toward the finish, but otherwise, this has aging potential.	Bottle Image Label Image Tech Sheet
