Nicolas Rossignol, Pommard 1er Cru "Epenots" 2017	93-95 Vinous The 2017 Pommard Les Epenots 1er Cru has a slightly deeper colour than its sibling Premier Crus. It has a fragrant and o touch more floral bouquet compared directly with the Clos Micault, still very well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, tender in style with beautifully judged acidity that makes this Pommard feel so natural and imbued with weightlessness. Nothing flashy here, just pure Pommard. 92-94 Wine Advocate Always one of Rossignol’s best bottlings, the 2017 Pommard 1er Cru Les Epenots unfurls in the glass with a complex bouquet of orange rind, cherries, cassis, dried flowers, rose petals and spices. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with lovely depth and dimension at the core, framed by fine-grained tannins. Nicolas Rossignol, Pommard 1er Cru "Epenots" 2020	90-92 Vinous From 115-year old vines, the 2020 Pommard Epenots 1er Cru includes 80% whole cluster. It has as well-defined bouquet with black cherries and blueberry fruit, showing a little more freshness than other cuvées. The palate is smooth and silky, the stems lending freshness to counter the density and richness, quite structured on the finish with a saline aftertaste. Fine.
