Nicolas Rossignol, Volnay 1er Cru "Cailleret"
Here the nose offers another step up in refinement with a floral bent, particularly violets, that combines with very pure red and blue pinot fruit and warm earth aromas that give way gracefully to delicious middle weight flavors that are supported by finer tannins and excellent complexity on the lingering finish. Impressive.
