Nicolas Rossignol, Pommard "Les Noizons" 2020	92 Decanter Inky purple in colour and showing a lovely, ripe cassis fruit, with notes of orange blossom and mineral. The texture is ripe and velvety, but the cool nights here helped the wine keep a better acidity which draws the finish to a satisfying conclusion. This village-level lieu-dit Noizons is high on the slope above Argillières and Epenots, near the border with Beaune. Rossignol has 0.63ha here in iron-rich red clay soils.
