A complex wine with salty notes, minerality, and great finesse.. The dress is light yellow and has a clear sleek nose. Notes of lime green citrus and white flowers. Attacks the mouth with good acidity and long finish. A particularly tasty wine with crustaceans, cooked Mediterranean fish, white meat. Great as an aperitif or with dried cheeses.

Le Pas de l'Escalette Les Clapas Blanc 2020	93 Decanter Color can be deceptive, as this ultra-pale white wine might suggest extreme lightness. Spontaneous fermentation in barrel has resulted in subtle walnut and oaky aromas developing into creamy nutty fruit on the palate. This is definitely not a fruit-driven wine, but the layers of texture – from creamy silkiness, to firm grippy acidity and an almost voluptuous mouthfeel – make it highly appealing and moreish. – Elizabeth Gabay MW.
