An excellent quality Cornas from very old vines from a vintage drinking very well now. Deep ruby. Powerful with pronounced aroma intensity. Developing with black cherry, blackberry, cassis, leather & tobacco. Christmas spice of clove & anise, black pepper & granitic earthy notes. Pronounced flavors of ripe black cherry, damson, blackcurrant, chocolate, loganberry, coffee grinds, black pepper & a powerful, rich & concentrated long finish.

Domaine du Tunnel, Cornas "Pur Noir" 2020	98 Vinous Brooding purple color. Intensely perfumed, spice-tinged aromas, cola, smoked meat and potpourri are energized by a bright mineral flourish. Sweet and chewy in the mouth, offering densely packed yet vibrant blackberry, cherry preserve, olive and fruitcake flavors, along with suggestions of candied violet and black pepper.
