Domaine de Chevilly
Right off the Cher river, in central Loire Valley, Mr. Lestourgie makes this extraordinary wine that equals any Sancerre. Fantastic racy & perfumed Sauvignon Blanc, with lots of ripe citrus fruit, minerals, gun flint, it has it all. Medium bodied, superb structure, a pure pleasure for any seafood dishes & salads, & goat cheeses. The sandy soils of Quincy produce a completely different style of Sauvignon, more rounded, textured and finer. Ripe, exotic nose. Soft acidity with a broad textured fruit profile. Peach undertones with a long finish.
