Domaine des Lambrays, Nuits St. Georges, 1er Cru "La Richemone" 2021	94 Decanter This substantial 0.89-hectare parcel is among the jewels in the new purchase by Domaine des Lambrays. The vines were planted in 1924. The lieu-dit is in the center of the premier cru band, located below Damodes and above Murgers, near the border with Vosne. This year they delivered an outstanding wine with an immensely aromatic pomegranate and black cherry fruit with a tropical edge and an intense floral perfume. The texture is ripe and concentrated with a velvety density that is infinitely gratifying. This wine is one of the outstanding achievements of this commune in 2021. 90-92 Wine Advocate Another new cuvée, including some very old vines planted in 1924, is the 2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru La Richemone, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and ample wine evocative of rose petals, wild berries, baking spices and dried herbs. Domaine des Lambrays, Nuits St. Georges, 1er Cru "La Richemone" 2022	97 James Suckling This is nothing like Nuits-Saint-Georges, which is by no means rustic and overly spicy. More expressive than Vosne-Romanee, it almost feels like Morey-St-Denis, with perfume and precision. Minerally, with grilled oranges and fine spices.
