Domaine des Lambrays, Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru "Clos Sorbè" 2022	95 Decanter 2022 is the first year for the Morey premier cru Clos Sorbè, made famous by the Morey legend Jacky Truchot. The wine seems more elegant and fine than that somewhat rustic style, with an expressive cherry and pomegranate fruit, hints of rose petals and liquorice, and an approachable but still substantial and tannic texture. Devauges notes that the terres rouges (iron-bearing clay) soils are a bit warmer than the adjoining Clos Baulet. The total holding for the domaine is a relatively substantial 1.15 hectares. 95 James Suckling A complex, nuanced nose of spices, herbs and roses. Drink or hold. 92 Vinous The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbé 1er Cru has a wonderful bouquet with dark berry fruit, hints of black tea and loam. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh, quite sensual entry. The whole bunches are very well-integrated and not particularly noticeable. Domaine des Lambrays, Morey Saint Denis 1er Cru "Clos Sorbè" 2023	92-94 Vinous The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbet 1er Cru contains 50% whole bunch, which is much more integrated on the nose. Beautiful brambly red fruit, crushed stone and hints of freshly-rolled tobacco come through with time. Very finessed and mineral-driven, the palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, gradually building to a poised and persistent finish. This may eventually surpass the 2022.	Bottle Image Label Image
