Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru “Les Folatieres" 2022	94 Tim Atkin Exuding youthful aromas of sweet blooms, yellow apples, lemon macaroon and warm puff pastry, this is a whirlpool of lifted, elegant scents. The glossy, finely concentrated palate tingles with freshness. The complexity here may derive in part from the long alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts that didn’t finish until December. Since 2020, Jacques Desvauges has lengthened this wine’s elevage, giving it two winters. 94 James Suckling Pure, subtle and soft-spoken, with aromas of minerals, spiced lemons and touches of roasted pineapple and seashells, which get more lifted on the palate. Medium-to full-bodied with good substance. Dry, tense and harmonious. Drink now or hold. 93 Wine Spectator A bit shy in aroma, this white nonetheless delivers peach, lemon cake, pastry and mineral flavors allied to a creamy texture.
