Château Yvonne
Château Yvonne, a place of wine for centuries. Château Yvonne is located in the heart of the village of Parnay, a few steps from the Loire. The village of Parnay has been dedicated to vines since the Middle Ages thanks to the growth of the Abbey of Fontevraud.
The 16th century dwelling remained mysterious until the revolution. In 1813, a winegrower lived there and a succession of winegrowers followed him. In 1997, a couple of enthusiasts Yvonne and Jean-François Lamunière settled there and recreated the vineyard with the help of Françoise Foucault. The place is called “Château Yvonne”. In 2007, Mathieu Vallée took over the estate. It keeps the name of Château Yvonne in tribute to the titanic work of these enthusiasts.
