After the harvest time, the wines have very good lengths in the mouth, elegant and silky tannis, all supported by an intoxicating aroma. This last smile makes us succumb to temptation. This is without a doubt an exceptional vintage.

Chateau Moulin de la Rose 2019	90-91 James Suckling A young red with attractive, ripe berries and chocolate. It’s medium-bodied, firm-tannined and flavorful at the finish. Tight and polished. 92 Decanter A Cru Bourgeois Superieur from Jean-François Delon, one of the few small family estates in St Julien. Strong blackberry and blackcurrant bud flavours with floral aromatics. This is unfussy, with fairly rustic tannins but absolutely delicious and juicy, with a lingering finish. One third new oak. Chateau Moulin de la Rose 2020	90 Decanter Seriously perfumed and aromatic on the nose. Taught and streamlined but with a lovely deep, rich, ripe fruit flavour. This is nicely defined with a tense core and focus from start to finish while the ripe blackcurrant, perfumed black cherries and strawberries are lifted by high acidity that has bite and a touch of sourness. Tannins are fine and give the frame. Fresh and lifted finished. A touch severe right now with the acidity and sense of tension but this has nice potential.
