Chateau Lagrange

View Winery Website

It is within the prestigious Saint-Julien appellation that Château Lagrange, 3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, is located. The vineyard of this appellation located on the left bank of the Gironde, in the heart of the Médoc between Margaux and Pauillac, has a remarkable particularity with 85% of its surface area belonging to Grands Crus Classés.

Situated on two hillocks of Günzian gravel, one of which is the highest point of the AOC Saint Julien, the Château Lagrange vines extend in one piece around the château. At the heart of the wine estate are added some forty hectares of park and woods, as well as a lake, constituting an exceptional natural heritage. Exceptionally, the surface area and plots of today’s vineyard are exactly those that were classified in 1855 under Napoleon III.
