Chateâu La Commanderie

View Winery Website

Nestled in the heart of the famous Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux, Château La Commanderie is a veritable little garden where quality and excellence are cultivated, like its prestigious neighbors Pétrus, Château Le Pin and Château Cheval Blanc in Saint-Emilion.

The 6 hectares of Château La Commanderie form a south-north oriented strip, encompassing the cellars and on which Merlot (88%) and Cabernet Franc (12%) flourish.  Despite its modest size, the vineyard offers a remarkable diversity of soils: sandy in the south, clayey in the center and gravelly in the north. It is this combination of terroirs that partly gives the Château La Commanderie wine its complexity and elegance.
