Bouchard Pere & Fils, Beaune 1er Clos de la Mousse– Monopole
THE DRESS is deep and vibrant. ON THE NOSE, the aromas are truly the signature of this monopole, an intense message of red fruits, melted and jammy, fresh yet with great ripeness, combined with slightly toasty notes. ON THE PALATE, it is a fleshy and delicate attack, with a particular smoothness. The tannins are present but rounded, reflecting the high ripeness of this walled vineyard. The complex finish is always a revelation, with a return of wild fruits, a smoothness and a salinity (due to the marl) that leave an energetic and fresh impression, a very typical thirst-quenching quality
