Luna Beberide Art, Bierzo Red

The grapes used to make this wine come from old vines (around 60 years old), grown in Cacabelos and Villafranca. The vineyards are situated at around 700-900 metres above sea level with a south facing orientation. The soils are calcareous clay. The harvest is usually carried out late, to ensure that the grapes are picked at their optimum point of maturation, usually at the end of September or the beginning of October.

Vivid ruby-red. Mineral- and smoke-accented red fruit liqueur and pot-pourri aromas are complemented by suggestions of cola, vanilla and candied licorice. Sweet, seamless and focused on the palate, offering intense black raspberry, cherry compote and spicecake flavors that become livelier with air. Shows impressive detail, depth and finishes on a repeating red fruit note, with smooth tannins and lingering florality.
