U MES U FAN TRES, formerly known as 1+1=3, is a trailblazing winery in Penedès, Spain, established in 2000 in Font-rubí. The founders, Josep Antoni Bonell and oenologist Josep Piñol, brought with them a deep-rooted connection to the wine industry that predated the winery’s inception.

From the outset, U MES U FAN TRES committed to sustainable practices and creating wines with a distinctive character, intentionally steering away from conventional methods. The winery’s ethos is driven by the passion and collaboration of its team, who collectively strive to achieve their goals. This dedication led to the production of one of the first no-sulfite-added cavas in 2014, a product that gained international recognition for its quality. Since 2018, all of their wines and cavas have been certified organic.

Now in its third generation, the winery continues to uphold its commitment to environmental stewardship while producing wines under the Penedès and Cava Denomination of Origin, consistently delivering products that delight and surprise wine enthusiasts.
