Our guest host, Isaac Kukulies of Elite Wines, guides us through an all-Spanish lineup from CUNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España). Founded in 1879 in the historic Barrio de la Estación in Haro, Cune has spent more than 140 years crafting some of Spain’s most iconic wines. Fun fact: the name “Cune” was born from a simple spelling error of the company’s initials, and it stuck—eventually becoming one of Spain’s most recognized wine brands. Their winemaking facility “El Pilar” was also the first in Spain to use a gravity-flow system, a pioneering approach now embraced by wineries around the world.
