Weingut Künstler
Weingut Künstler has been family-owned since 1648. Originally based in Untertannowitz (South Moravia, Czech Republic), the family lost their estate after World War II when Franz Künstler was expropriated and expelled. In 1965, he reestablished the winery in Hochheim am Main in Germany’s Rheingau region. The estate’s uncompromising commitment to quality quickly earned critical acclaim and awards. In 1992, Gunter Künstler took over the winery together with his wife Monika, continuing the family legacy. Since 1994, Weingut Künstler has been a member of the VDP (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates).
