Chateau Mazeyres

View Winery Website

Château Mazeyres, in the heart of Libourne, has a rich history dating back to the Roman era, with vines grown on its land since the 14th century. Acquired by the Querre family in the early 20th century, it produced fine, fruity wines for French restaurants. In 1988, it was sold to Société Générale, and in 2020, the Guillard family took ownership, enhancing its prestige. Under Alain Moueix, who began managing the estate in 1992, the vineyard expanded, modernized, and adopted biodynamic practices. The estate now spans 25.5 hectares and is certified biodynamic since 2018.
