Dark, intense ruby color. Luscious aroma with classic notes of wild fruits, blackberries, and touches of leather. It is very elegant on the palate, with soft tannins and a prolonged aftertaste with fruits and spices, finishing on notes of toasted bread.
92pts Vinous– 2018 vintage
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Cordillera de Los Andes comes from Maipo and spent 12 months aging in French barrels, 20% of them new. Garnet red in color. The nose is dominated by black currant and spice over sour cherry notes shaped by the time spent in the barrel. In the mouth, it’s something else entirely: accomplished freshness and juice are accompanied by fine-grained tannins and good volume, which comes packed full of flavor, followed by a long, bold, slightly compact finish in which the tannins linger pleasantly.
Bronze Medal- Decanter – N / V vintage
Sweet plum fruit and vanilla tinged nose with some leathery, earthy notes. Red currant and oak on the palate with firm tannins. Savory with rustic edges.
91pts Wine Advocate– 2018 vintage
The classical Maipo 2018 Cordillera Cabernet Sauvignon is minty, herbal and spicy, a textbook example of the place, variety and vintage. It has a very intense palate with a medium body and fine-grained tannins that leave a stony sensation. 27,000 bottles produced.
