“Full, rich and expressive, with a vibrant structure. Light strawberry, berry and mineral notes ride a chalky texture as this firms up on the finish. An ideal Champagne for the table.” -Wine Spectator
Gonet-Medeville Champagne Brut Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs NV
91pts Wine & Spirits Magazine– N/V vintage
BEST BUY! “This is 100 percent pinot noir, from 7.5 acres of chalk soils; a portion of the wine (30 percent) is vinified in old oak casks. Youthfully tense, even as it is generous and round, this wine’s powerful structure doesn’t detract from its fine bubbles.
The pinot comes across in scents of strawberries and cinnamon, a match for wood-roasted oysters.”

Based on 100% Pinot Noir (90% Bisseuil, 10% Ambonnay), the white-golden NV Blanc de Noirs Premier Cru Brut offers a clear, fresh, intense, pure and spicy-scented bouquet of ripe, sweet cherries along with mineral notes.
Based on the 2014 vintage (with 2013 and 2012) and disgorged in March 2018, this is a full-bodied, very fresh cuvée with searing acidity and mineral purity. This is far from being enjoyable today, but it will benefit from further bottle aging. Great tension and mineral grip here. Tasted April 2018.

Disgorged in July 2018, the new release of Gonet-Medeville’s NV Brut Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs is showing very well, offering up an appealing bouquet of crisp golden orchard fruit, honeycomb, warm biscuits and dried white flowers.
On the palate, it’s full-bodied, broad and vinous, with ripe but racy acids, good depth at the core and a delicate mousse. Concentrated and structured, another year on the cork will be rewarded by additional complexity, even though this is approachable now. (5/2020)

Pure notes of black cherry and black currant fruit are fragrant and appealing in this well-balanced Champagne, which offers a creamy mousse and bright citrusy acidity. Hints of spiced orange and salted almond play on the chalk-tinged finish. Disgorged April 2019. Drink now through 2023. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. 1,500 cases made, 69 cases imported.
