Rich and nicely detailed, boasting roasted fig, raspberry ganache, melted licorice and espresso, with a streak of iron racing through the finish. Ripe and distinctive, showing a mouthwatering edge.

FOR THE 2016 VINTAGE
A charming bouquet of resinous herbs, cracked pepper and ripe cherries emerges on the nose of the 2016 Crozes Hermitage Georges, which matured a year in tank (50%) and barrel (50%).
Medium to full-bodied, it’s lush and creamy in texture, turning to pure silk on the mouthwatering finish. Just lovely stuff for drinking over the next 6-7 years.
92pts Wine Enthusiast – 2017 vintage
Pristine blueberry and plum notes are etched by a whisper of anise in this pertly balanced Syrah. Aged 12 months in neutral oak (50%) and concrete tanks (50%), it’s a bright, zesty wine that elegantly offsets primary fruit against invigorating minerality. Lovely now but should drink well through 2027. Elite Wines Import. —
