Petit Pas (little feet) pays homage to the sons of Julien Zernott and Delphine Rouseau, Julius and Gabriel, who were born at the beginning of our adventure in Languedoc. Zesty, with lively red plum, raspberry and cherry flavors and touches of licorice. The flavors echo on the fresh finish.

FOR THE 2018 VINTAGE – 2 1/2 STARS (EXCELLENT+)
This has been a favorite winery of mine for several years. The husband-and-wife team of Julien Zernott and Delphine Rousseau farm 50 acres of high-altitude vineyards along an ancient pilgrimage path (the pas de l’escalette) to the Mediterranean.They produce savory red blends like this one, based on grenache, carignan and syrah, that make excellent partners to roasted or grilled meats. I tasted the 2017, and the importer has recently moved on to the 2018.
Both are in the market, and based on this winery’s track record, don’t worry about the vintage. ABV: 13.5 percent
