Pur Sang wine takes from a plot called “La Folie”, located in Saint-Laurent-l’Abbaye. Facing directly south, the vines were planted in 1989. The soil, silex clay (silex is a stone), is composed from small polished silex which came from glaciers The structure of this soil provides great drainage and produces fine and elegant wines with a big persistence. Potential of aging around 10 to 15 years.

95pts Wine Spectator– 2014 vintage

FOR THE 2014 VINTAGE
Chiseled, with a pure beam of gooseberry, white asparagus and white peach flavors inlaid with light talc, chamomile and mineral accents.

The long finish vibrates like a tuning fork, leaving a mouthwatering echo. Gorgeous. Drink now through 2027.—

N/Apts Jancis Robinson– 2015 vintage

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
Plentiful oak but it all melds together effortlessly on the palate with tremendous ripe citrus fruit expression and vanilla spice. Magical stuff. (17.5/20)

95pts Wine Spectator– 2015 vintage

FOR THE 2015 VINTAGE
Beautiful from the start, with crème fraîche and tarragon accents gliding in first, followed by macadamia nut, lime curd, gooseberry gelée and yellow apple fruit flavors.

The finish pulls in a fleur de sel hint while creamy accents keep the upper hand. Drink now through 2028. From France.
