The Berthet Rayne Cotes du Rhone Blanc has a gorgeous golden yellow color with silver tints. The color is bright and glossy. The nose opens up with white and yellow fruits aromas including mirabelle plum, peach and lemon jam.
Some honey and floral aromas bring complexity and long-lasting taste to the wine. The fresh fruits notes from the nose carry over to the palate which is quite harmonious.
There is a lovely sense of balance between the aromatic freshness of the fruit and the sensation of sweetness.
90pts Wine Advocate– 2019 vintage
Mainly equal parts Bourboulenc and Clairette, with just a splash of Grenache Blanc, the 2019 Cotes du Rhone Blanc is a plump, harmonious offering with hints of white peaches, melon and citrus. Medium to full-bodied, it’s silky and fine, with a lasting, elegant finish. EU certified organic.
90pts Wine Enthusiast– 2019 vintage
Stony, mineral tones on the nose open into charming white peach and honey on the palate of this plush yet freshly balanced dry white. A blend of equal parts Roussanne, Viognier, Clairette and Bourboulenc, it’s ripe and fleshy but invigoratingly mineral on the midpalate, too.
